Equinox has won Media Markt’s media planning and buying business after a competitive pitch with other 4A media agencies. It is appointed to help this retailing giant to fight for a US$209 billion goal in 2013 in China’s retailing market. Media Markt is affiliated to Metro, the world’s third biggest retailer, only next to Carrefour and Wal-Mart.

This pitch lasted 3 months and it aims to promote Media Markt’s first store opening in China, as it will be crucial for Media Markt’s future development in China. Media Markt has looked for a professional agency which shares the same characteristics. As a result, the rich experience on retail business, in-depth understanding of consumers and marketplace through proprietary tools make Equinox stand out from the competition.
