François Goddet has been appointed CEO of ZenithOptimedia Belgium. He succeeds Rik Provoost, Managing Director of ZO Belgium, who will retire in April 2012.

Previously François Goddet was Head of the New Business for VivaKi France (Groupe Publicis) and member of the Executive Committee. He participated in the construction of VivaKi France, creating synergies between media and digital expertise throughout Publicis Groupe that enabled clients to develop a global and unique vision of all its channels.

Between 2001 and 2009, François was Managing Director of ZenithOptimedia France. Over those 8 years ZO’s growth increased fourfold, notably thanks to new business with clients including PPR, Toyota, Groupement des Mousquetaires and Sanofi Aventis. Over the same period, the independent RECMA agency named ZO as the most high-performing agency for 6 consecutive years.

François Goddet’s career began at Havas, where he started out as a TV buyer in 1992.

François Goddet comments: “ZenithOptimedia Belgium’s client portfolio is very prestigious, and my objective is to increase client satisfaction through the development of new tools and products elaborated by the network. I’m impressed by the level of expertise of the Belgium market and I’m looking forward to contributing to its development. I’m convinced that our highly experienced management team will find huge opportunities for new businesses, via innovation and the development of digital.”

Daniel Saada, CEO of VivaKi France, explains “Sébastien Danet, the CEO of ZO France, and myself are very proud of François’ career within Publicis Groupe. This new mission is an opportunity both for the Belgium office and for François.”

Steve King, CEO of ZenithOptimedia group explains “I have worked with Rik for over 15 years. I always valued his commitment, enthusiasm and loyalty. A number of years ago he expressed his desire to leave the business in 2012. I obviously am happy to respect his wish and am delighted that Francois Goddet has accepted the challenge of taking the ZenithOptimedia business forward in Belgium.”
