Newcast Beijing, the branded content and social arm of ZenithOptimedia has been appointed the social agency for Huawei Device Co., Ltd. after an intensive seven-way pitch.

Huawei is the world’s third largest smartphone provider, and a major global force in telecommunications and networking. As the first Chinese company to successfully enter Interbrand’s Top 100 Global Brands of 2014 list, the technology giant is one of the most valued brands in China. In order to fortify their brand and interaction with consumers, Huawei called for a review of its agency partners to further optimize its social media accounts.  The objective outline throughout the pitch process was an insight driven approach to strategy and a strong demonstration of creativity to promote their smartphone offerings and consolidate the position as the China’s No.1 brand in the high-end smartphone market.
