Online: more people turn to their computer to catch up with their team

Nearly double the number of people are following sport via social media while satellite or cable viewing has witnessed a year-on-year fall in consumption levels, according to a report by digital sports agency Perform into sports consumption.

The report reveals 21% of fans consume sport via social networks in 2012, compared to 13% the year previous.
