New York, N.Y. – ZenithOptimedia, a leading global media agency, announced the promotion of long-serving executive Ava Jordhamo to the new post of Chief Operating Officer, ZenithOptimedia – North America.

Jordhamo is a pioneer in the media industry and at ZenithOptimedia. Her flawless execution, management style and negotiating power have embodied the spirit of the company culture as well as its ROI-based philosophy for nearly two decades.

Jordhamo’s expanded responsibilities in North America cover Operations and Diversified Services which includes Newcast (ZenithOptimedia’s content integration company), Sponsorship Intelligence (ZenithOptimedia’s sports and sponsorship arm), ZO Direct and ZO Multicultural.  Client service responsibilities for Toyota Motor Sales and Gulf States Toyota continue under her remit as well.

Jordhamo started her career at Saatchi & Saatchi in local broadcast, joining Zenith at its inception in 1995, where she rose through the ranks to become the head of national video at Zenith in 2008.  Two years ago, Jordhamo took over new operational responsibilities building to the position she has now assumed.

Jordhamo’s past experience leading Broadcast buying advanced the metrics of many of Zenith’s world-class roster of clients including Sonic, Lexus, Verizon, 20th Century Fox, JPMorgan Chase, and Boston Beer. She has been the driving force behind some of today’s most innovative and notable campaigns including the Toyota Concert Series featured on TODAY, and the Toyota Halftime Report on Sunday Night Football.

Among her many accolades, Jordhamo was honored as a 2013 Wonder Woman by Advertising Women New York. She has also been recognized in The Adweek 50 in 2012; as one of Broadcasting & Cable’s Most Influential Media Buyers in both 2011 and 2012; and was named Advertising Working Mother of the Year in 2009.
