ZenithOptimedia has won the global media communications account for SCA and will become the media agency of record for the global hygiene company. The appointment will see SCA consolidating all of its media business into a single global agency.

Commencing 1 January 2014, ZenithOptimedia will take responsibility for SCA’s media communications across 46 markets, including France, Germany, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Sweden, UK and USA. ZenithOptimedia will manage communications for the brands across SCA’s Personal Care and Tissue divisions, which include Bodyform, Libero, Plenty, Tempo, Tena, Velvet and Zewa.

SCA is one of the world’s leading players in the personal care market, with sales in more than 100 countries. It is also the world’s third largest and Europe’s largest supplier of consumer tissue and away-from-home tissue, with sales in some 80 countries.

ZenithOptimedia will provide SCA a full range of integrated media services: research and insight, communications planning, media planning and buying, ROI measurement and evaluation. The global SCA account will be coordinated centrally from ZenithOptimedia’s global headquarters in London, with local strategy, planning and buying handled by the network’s offices around the world.
